As soon as the plane touches down, young and old share the exact same desire: to dive straight into the magic of Disneyland® Paris. Whether arriving at Paris-Charles de Gaulle or Paris-Orly, several options can get you to the parks and the Explorers Hotel. The trick is finding the one that best suits your family expedition… Which airport-Disney shuttle should you choose? Where do you catch it? What are the schedules? Do you need to book in advance? Follow our guide to plan your journey and smoothly reach your explorer’s hideout.
Before setting sail for Mickey’s kingdom, your first mission is finding the right Paris-Disney airport shuttle! It is best to figure this out beforehand, especially if the family is traveling with suitcases and a stroller. From Paris-Charles de Gaulle, the Magical Shuttle provides daily connections to Disneyland®, Disney Hotels, and partner hotels. Expect the journey to take about an hour, depending on traffic.
The pick-up point depends on your arrival terminal:
As an alternative to the Charles de Gaulle airport-Disney shuttle, you can also take the TGV (high-speed train) directly to the Marne-la-Vallée Chessy station. This option can be interesting if the train schedules align well with your flight. Once you arrive at the station, catch the free HVFS shuttle at platform N. It will take you directly to the Explorers Hotel in about ten minutes.
Landing at Orly? The journey continues with the Magical Shuttle! However, to reach the Explorers Hotel, a transfer at Marne-la-Vallée Chessy is required. The trip to Disney takes about an hour, before continuing to the hotel via the free shuttle.
Good news: finding your Orly-Disney airport shuttle is not rocket science. Once again, the pick-up point depends on your terminal:
| Arrival terminal | Where to catch the Magical Shuttle? |
| Orly 1 and 2 | Gate 18 – platform D6 |
| Orly 3 | Gate 22a – platform D6 |
| Orly 4 | Gate 48a – platform 3 |
Upon arrival, get off at the Chessy Nord bus station, then head to platform N to catch the free HVFS shuttle, which will take you straight to the Explorers.
The Disney-airport shuttle schedules vary depending on the airport and departure terminal. The schedules published by Magical Shuttle include several daily connections from Charles de Gaulle and Orly.
| Airport / terminal | First departure to Disney | Last departure to Disney |
| Charles de Gaulle 2E/2F | 9:00 AM | 7:45 PM |
| Charles de Gaulle Terminal 1 | 9:55 AM | 6:20 PM |
| Orly 1, 2, and 3 | 9:10 AM | 7:20 PM |
| Orly 4 | 9:00 AM | 7:10 PM |
Note: The time your flight lands does not equal the time you can board the shuttle! Remember to factor in the time needed to disembark, collect your luggage, and reach the pick-up point.
For your return trip, plan for the shuttle to leave at least 3.5 hours before your airport check-in time. As schedules are subject to change, feel free to check the official Magical Shuttle timetable a few days before setting sail.
Yes, booking the Magical Shuttle in advance is highly recommended to guarantee your seat! You can choose the departure time that best matches your flight and avoid any unpleasant surprises once you have collected your bags…
Are you traveling as a family, but not all the crew is landing at the same time? Here again, it is better to plan ahead. Passengers who purchased their tickets under the same booking must board together. If you are traveling separately, be sure to make separate bookings.
For the return journey, also remember to book a shuttle early enough to respect the recommended buffer time before your flight check-in.
If your flight arrives too early or too late to catch the Magical Shuttle, don’t panic! A train, taxi, or private transfer can easily take over.
From Charles de Gaulle, the TGV allows you to directly reach Marne-la-Vallée Chessy. Once at the station, you simply hop on the HVFS shuttle to reach the Explorers.
Taxis and private transfers meet a different need. They allow you to reach the hotel directly from the airport, without relying on a shared shuttle’s schedule. This door-to-door service can considerably simplify the journey when traveling with young children, a stroller, and several suitcases.
To make the best possible choice, prioritize looking at:
The goal: reach your explorer’s hideout without turning the journey into an obstacle course!
When traveling as a family, an airport transfer can quickly turn into an expedition. It is better to know the different stages of your journey in advance.
From Orly, for example, your luggage will need to accompany you during the transfer at Marne-la-Vallée Chessy before boarding the free hotel shuttle.
From Charles de Gaulle, also consider the journey inside the airport. Depending on your terminal, you may need to walk between several zones or take the CDGVAL before reaching the Magical Shuttle.
A small habit that can make things easier: keep your booking, arrival terminal, and directions to find the shuttle saved on your phone. This will save you from having to hunt for information once you have gathered your bags!
Arriving at the Explorers before the 3:00 PM check-in time? Don’t stand around loaded down like a pack mule! The property features secure luggage storage accessible 24/7. The reception desk is also open at all hours. You can safely drop off your belongings before continuing your day.
Once the bags are unpacked, there is no need to think about transfers anymore! Ready to head to the parks? The free HVFS shuttle is there throughout your stay to take you from the Explorers to Disneyland® Paris. It picks you up right in front of the hotel and drops you off in about ten minutes at the Marne-la-Vallée Chessy bus station, right next to the park entrances.
Back at the hotel, prolong the adventure in a universe entirely designed for families. Within our 21,500 sq ft (2,000 m²) water park, dive into the pool, speed down the water slides, and board the pirate ship, whatever the weather!
Still have energy after a day in the parks? Young explorers are spoiled for choice. Kids can storm Scally Wagg’s Jungle Adventure, discover Sir Archibald’s Ship, or even explore the shipwreck of the Seven Seas Villain. Thrill-seekers can test out the 10D cinema, before keeping the fun going in the video game arcade with car races and Air Hockey matches.
Older kids and adults aren’t forgotten either, with bowling, darts, and pool available at the Galion’s Pub. And for those who prefer to trade adventure for a moment of relaxation, the Dream Castle Spa is just 650 feet (200 meters) from the hotel.
To recharge your batteries, head to the hotel’s restaurants and bars, where the whole family can gather around a meal before setting off for another day full of adventures. One thing is certain: the Explorers Hotel holds plenty of surprises for explorers both young and old!
